Position Summary
OnPoint NYC is seeking a Distribution Associate. This position is integral to the organization’s daily operations with the primary responsibility of storing, tracking, and distributing the necessary supplies needed for a wide array of organizational programs. As leaders in Harm Reduction Services, it is vital to manage orders, inventory, and stock locations for various departments. The Distribution Associate works within a team of four and reports directly to the Distribution Manager. This position works closely with colleagues, as well as other departments.
Reports to: Distribution Manager
Status: Full-time, non-exempt
Schedule: 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday
Salary: $19.23 – $24.72/hour
Responsibilities
- Attend all trainings, staff meetings, and other events as directed by supervising Manager & Directors
- Assist with All Distribution tasks
- Shipping and receiving of all deliveries
- Inventory and storage of all supplies
- Rotate materials with expiration dates
- Assist with invoice binders
- Distribute supplies, deliveries, and mail to all suites
- Ensure all teams/events distribution requests are filled and met
- Assist with donation pickups and delivery
- Assist with post office drop offs and errands
- Track supply distribution using an online inventory system
- Kit packing programmatic supplies
- Pick up and drop off necessary supplies in a timely manner
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding supply deliveries
- Other duties and tasks as assigned with the organization and maintenance of storage supply spaces
Requirements
- Driver’s license preferred
- High School Diploma preferred
- Must be physically able to lift, bend, and carry supplies (up to 50lbs)
- Organized and efficient, with an affinity for always maintaining a clean and orderly work environment
- Have basic mathematical skills
- Must be pragmatic, a natural problem solver, and solutions focused with a great attitude
- Have excellent time management and communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and email correspondence is required
- Ability to master a wide range of information and disperse it accordingly as well as professionally
- Strong aptitude for systematization and efficient organization of tasks
- Excellent communication skills are a must. Communication, both verbal and written, must be professional, courteous, and clear
- Must be self-motivated and proactive when approaching workload
- Must be committed to the Harm Reduction philosophy and to working with marginalized people (mainly people who use drugs and sex workers) in a multi-cultural, multi-racial environment in a non-judgmental manner.
- Bilingual is preferred (English and Spanish)
