Fleet Coordinator

Position Summary

OnPoint NYC is seeking a Fleet Coordinator. The ideal candidate must be well-versed in fleet management and vehicle maintenance. The Fleet Coordinator will provide day-to-day services to ensure that all organizational vehicles are operating in good condition. The position will be responsible for coordinating fleet activities including maintenance and repairs for all OnPoint NYC vehicles, as well as support for fleet expansion.

Reports to: Facilities and Fleet Manager
Annual Salary:  $45,000 -$50,000
Position Type: Full Time
Schedule:  35 hours a week/Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm, with occasional evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for planning and coordinating the maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles.
  • Maintain vehicle maintenance and safety schedule
  • Responsible for tracking and coordinating regular inspections and tune ups for all vehicles
  • Responsible for permit renewal for all vehicles.
  • Serve as the liaison for fleet operations
  • Provide reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance, and fleet progress
  • Maintain fleet inventory, owned, and leased
  • Order urgent or emergency repairs as needed
  • Maintaining vehicle insurance, licensure, and registration
  • Strong knowledge/experience of maintaining fleet maintenance requests using computerized systems
  • Work closely with all vendors and towing support
  • Facilitate vehicle wrapping, buildout, and all other non-structural work
  • Provide input to decrease cost and improve efficiency
  • Support fleet expansion when necessary: assisting with the purchasing of new vehicles, vehicle de-fleets, and vehicle sales.
  • Support the Distribution Team, making supply deliveries between sites
  • Perform other related tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License and a clean driving record in the last three years is required
  • CDL Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
  • 2+ years of experience of vehicle management is required
  • 2+ years of experience in non-profit sector preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and email correspondence
  • Proficiency in working with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets)
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and an ability to handle confidential information required.
  • Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities as well as keen attention to detail required
  • Excellent problem-solving skills required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written, required
  • Position requires the ability to stand, sit at a desk, walking around facility, lifting, or carrying packages up to 50 pounds, utilizing fine dexterity, and reaching, crawling and twisting to inspect equipment
  • Ability to collaborate and engage with staff at all levels.
  • A desire to work tactically and strategically- possessing a hands-on approach required.
  • Respect for the rights of sex workers and people who use drugs required.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) is preferred
